The «Bless Me, My Talisman» Festival was founded as a Russian romance festival in 2012 by the famous Russian music figure Svyatoslav Belza and the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Ljubljana with the aim of supporting Russian musical culture, the Russian language and compatriots living abroad.
Over the years, the festival has grown into an International Festival-Competition of Slavic Music. And now it is a musical holiday that unites all fraternal Slavic peoples, their languages, music and performing skills. The festival annually hosts an international competition, vocal master classes and a number of concerts in various parts of Slovenia.
The gala concert of the competition is traditionally held in the town of Škofja Loka, the most beautiful medieval town, one of the country's tourist gems.
Every year a huge number of Russian musicians living in different European countries, opera singers from Russian cities, as well as singers from Slovenia, Croatia, Kazakhstan, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, Italy come to Slovenia.
We are glad to discover new names!
For many singers, this competition is a ticket to their professional life!
